Indiana Jones Movie 2023 Hype Thread
CGI'd deaged Harrison Ford!!!
Fighting Nazi's in 1939!!!
Story then switching to Harrison Ford as he is now but film set in 1969!!
Steven Spielberg and George Lucas not writing or directing!!!
With only Steven Spielberg Producing alongside Kathleen Kennedy!!!
Still hasn't got an official title yet!!!
Coming June 30th 2023!!!
Can I get an "Abner's dead..." For those hyped about new Indiana Jones Movie -ah shit they'll probably have a character called Abner- I'll still take it. It's how things are done now.
It's ages away but can I get a "Da diddley at daa da ba da" for the film anyway?

We have a better trailer https://youtu.be/eQfMbSe7F2g
Looks like they've been taking notes from a few Uncharted games. Not a problem with that. (Seriously, how could you fuck up an adaption of Uncharted?)
And now we wait for late June.

I am prepared to be disappointed. But will watch it anyway since I love IJ.

I don't think it'll be as bad as Crystal Skull. There'll be a bit of nonsense. But it'll be entertaining nonsense.Xuchilbara wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 8:39 pm I am prepared to be disappointed. But will watch it anyway since I love IJ.
Still want to see him punching Nazi's on the Moon.

Same I am glad to see Nazis as bad guys. So far it already looks better than Crystal Skull.

Re: Indiana Jones Movie 2023 Hype Thread
Seems ages ago when it was announced. Then COVID etc. Seemed like yesterday I made this thread.
Really intending to see it when it's released. I've asked friends but they haven't got back to me, or are preparing to spring on me! (I don't pre-book. The world loves capitalism so much? If Movie going dying I should get a seat on the day)
I won't be wearing my heavy leather jacket however.

You have to applaud Harrison Ford for deciding not to use a stuntman.

Oh but he has! That's the thing. I've saw pictures of stuntmen in Harrison Ford masks on motorbikes. It's going to be incredible! I would have gotten myself killed before the opening scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Let alone anything else that happened since.Annin_Tofu wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2023 10:24 pm You have to applaud Harrison Ford for deciding not to use a stuntman.
I'm really interested in seeing what a Spielberg/Lucas idea looks like as written by different people and Directors. Spielberg had a Family cutesy touch (Schindler's List The Colour Purple excused) in his films.
That either gets replicated or changed altogether. This time next week touching wood (thank you cabinet) I'll personally have found out. Making it an occasion as I barely go the pictures.
Not hyping the film. It's made. If it's better than ok then great. The great films take you all over your emotions. One minute it's great the next it's incredulous then etc. Great rollercoaster you can have without moving!

Been ignoring videos. Not arsed box office. It's an old franchise from a time before the blockbuster marketing of now.
So glad the theatre run was longer than I'd love expected. Right! *Slaps face Hustle!
See film no matter what on Monday!
Don't even come back to thread until watched Chraaargggg

Re: Indiana Jones Movie 2023 Hype Thread
Saw it yesterday. Actually, it's pretty good. Some scenes are far too long. But the stuff that works really works.
If you want action Indiana stick with the first two films.
Action happens. Just takes a while.
The last ten to fifteen minutes of the film are worth the price of admission.
If they ever made an Indiana Jones film with an antagonist that's actually intelligent and can read situations... Would it be an Indiana Jones film!
Happily recommend instead of strongly recommend.
I've no idea if there was anything post credits. As I was out of there the second the titles rolled.
Probably the last Indiana Jones film ever.
Didn't let the side down. But oh some scenes just need a trim or two.
