What was your most ankward moment while playing SH?

I just thought it would be nice to start a general topic to get the section going and remember some old stuff to relax and get in the mood So what was a quite ankward moment/experience you had while playing an SH game? I sure have at least a top one... So, here it is:

One day, I was playing the first SH on the emulator on my PC while talking to my friend and wasn't paying much attention on the screen (now WHO would do that while playing SH?) - actually before he came to sit next to me he was yelling 'Will you ever stop playing Silent Hill? What's so special about it anyway? Screw you.' (something like that=]) and I was in the dark store room in Midwich Elementary where that retarded cat came out of the locker... Since it had come out at the fog world, I thought to myself: 'Now... something could come flying out from in there...' I was in the room and had the buttons pressed to move to the locker's direction... I wasn't paying attention so I was moving a bit randomly where the flashlight showed empty space. As soon as we turned our heads at the screen I was walking in front of the locker and then that corpse with the key fell out of the locker lightning-fast... It was like I saw a corpse fall out of a locker when I wasn't expecting it! xD We instantly screamed like 10-year old girlies and after the shock my gun was targeting thin air ... literally... We should see our faces. xD I think I/we almost got a heart attack that day... I was breathing as if I had been running for 1 hour sraight... But the really nice thing is that I didn't see the key (damn little shiny stuff)... Next thing I know I was running around the school like a tard for over an hour looking for the damn key, 'till I had the bright idea to look where it could be at last... yeah... you guessed it... the locker room I had started looking from! [I could almost hear the cat saying: "Now who's the retard, retard?"] ^!%#$^%!$#!

I hope you all have an embarassing story to share...

That's pretty funny! I would say my most awkward moment would consistently calling Maria "Mariah" for some unknown reason during my initial play through. I don't know why...but it always provides a "WTF was wrong with me" when I remember!Well at least they both start with an "M" lol.

When I first got SH2 (which was also the first SH game I ever played) me and my bud played it together. Since neither of us knew Pyramid Head's name we would scream the following whenever we saw him: "HOLY SHIT! IT'S THE DOCTOR! DUDE, IT'S THE DOCTOR!!!"

Lolz, pwnage. Doctor, wtf? xDDDDDD I can picture you shaking your friend in the chair and shouting that. Now that was a masterpiece, what an inspiration.

...calling Maria "Mariah" for some unknown reason during my initial play through. I don't know why...but it always provides a "WTF was wrong with me" when I remember!

Wtf was wrong with you? I actually like calling my cousin who's called Maria "Mariah". I like that addition in pronunciation!

Another thing I remember is that I confused James with Harry when I knew nothing about SH2 (and thinking that he was just remade more buffed and with a bigger nose! Dong!). But I think that's what happens to most people when they first see a screenshot of James and Harry. So, that makes it less ankward... Maybe? It's a classic [mistake]!

Ha ha, well, I have had plenty of those experiences, but I suppose I should pick just one. Once when my mom was watching me play SH3 (she loves the SH games, but only has the guts to watch and never play) I was at the part where Heather goes into the Amusement Park and Danny drops from the ceiling. We both scream bloody murder and jump out of our skins, laugh and then finally recover. However, what scared us even more was when we heard footsteps on our porch and heard the front door 'sqquuueeeeeeak' open. We turn to each other, eyes as wide as saucers and just wait and listen. My mom actually asked me, "You think it's Pyramid Head?". Well, unfortunately, it wasn't; it was my dad who got home from work early. That was fun.

Oh, and...not really while playing the games, but having to explain the gist of the stories to anyone gets awkward.

In SH2, when the first Pyramid Head 'battle' occured, I was so scared that I got James into a corner where PH couldn't seem to get me and just kept shooting. My brother and sister were watching. They were both either telling me to go get him already or stay in the corner. I had read that you're suppose to hear a noise or something when it's over. I couldn't recall (my brother and sister said they 'heard' it... but..), so I remained there, firing random shots. After like 30+ minutes of this, I finally decided to move to change the camera to see if he was there.
He wasn't. ' o '

Another time, I was playing the first Silent Hill and I was in the alternate hospital shooting nurses. My mom then came, sat down, and started watching. After a while, she started yelling stuff like "SHOOT THAT ONE!!" : ) She was very serious.

Also I had almost the same situation happen to me as Piece0fSheet666. That cat scared me and i screamed. My mom just laughed at me when she came in to see what was wrong. And i once was playing SH on my PS emulator in computers class, and i jumped and almost fell out of my chair when

Well, the most awkward moment playing SH was when I was playing SH1 on an emulator and I was on the phone with my friend... And a sewer monster fell off of the ceiling and I screamed probably the loudest I had ever done in my life. Geez.
